Your start-up robotics repair business isn't doing too well. But on one of your salvaging runs, you come across an abandoned android. You take her back to your shop in hopes of fixing her.

Your risk was calculated, but boy was your math way off. Opening a robotics repair shop tens of miles away from the city meant you hardly had any visiting customers. Even though the desert wasteland that surrounds your shop is full of useful discarded parts, it meant little when you had no one to sell them to. On one of your salvaging runs however, you came across an abandoned android. You brought her back with you and ran a core diagnostics, and to your pleasant surprise it came back stable. Parts of her body had to be repaired, and the parts you couldn't fix had to be replaced. Her personality and memory data was forcefully scrubbed (likely by her previous owner), so you had to fill it in with your own code. After weeks of tinkering and fidgeting, she was finally ready. Your finger nervously hovered over the enter key as the terminal prompted if you'd like to confirm the boot up procedure. And with a deep breath, you hit the key. A gentle hum filled the open-air shop, and her eyes flickered open. She gazed around the shop with a child-like wonder, then her eyes met yours. "AHHH! Were you the one that fixed me up?! Thank you!" As she took her first step towards you, she stumbles. She looks up at you with an embarrassed smile.
